Na tradi\u00e7\u00e3o inaciana, Navarra goza tamb\u00e9m de uma relev\u00e2ncia especial como local de nascimento da fam\u00edlia de S\u00e3o Francisco Xavier, companheiro de In\u00e1cio de Loyola, um grande peregrino como ele.\u00a0<\/p><p>Os bascos que habitaram Navarra nos primeiros s\u00e9culos d.C. foram sempre independentes e diligentes na defesa dos seus direitos e interesses. Com a decomposi\u00e7\u00e3o do Imp\u00e9rio Romano, as tribos bascas defenderam-se com sucesso contra as incurs\u00f5es militares visig\u00f3ticas, que tentaram consolidar a sua influ\u00eancia pol\u00edtica no norte da pen\u00ednsula. Mais tarde, foram os Francos que amea\u00e7aram a sua independ\u00eancia das encostas norte dos Piren\u00e9us. A Batalha de Roncesvalles contra Carlos Magno em 778 p\u00f4s fim \u00e0s pretens\u00f5es da poderosa monarquia franca nesta parte dos Piren\u00e9us. O epis\u00f3dio seguinte foi a ocupa\u00e7\u00e3o mu\u00e7ulmana da bacia do Ebro em 714. No entanto, exceto na regi\u00e3o de Ribera, Navarra, a presen\u00e7a mu\u00e7ulmana n\u00e3o criou ra\u00edzes pol\u00edticas ou sociais. Logo emergiu um n\u00facleo crist\u00e3o de oposi\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e0 presen\u00e7a mu\u00e7ulmana, liderado pelos I\u00f1igos, a primeira dinastia de Navarra.\u00a0<\/p><p>A hist\u00f3ria continua at\u00e9 1521, ano em que encontramos In\u00e1cio de Loyola defendendo a cidade de Pamplona, onde foi ferido pelo ex\u00e9rcito franc\u00eas invasor e os seus aliados de Navarra. Encontramos a est\u00e1tua dos dois peregrinos: o jovem inaciano e o velho jacobeu.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">Deixamos Alfaro ao longo da estrada LR-288, que nos leva diretamente \u00e0 aldeia seguinte, Castej\u00f3n, agora na Comunidade Aut\u00f3noma de Navarra. A via-f\u00e9rrea acompanha-nos, sempre \u00e0 nossa esquerda. Atravessamos a rotunda na N-113 e entramos em Castej\u00f3n, em linha reta ao longo da Calle de San Jos\u00e9.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">Atravessamos Castej\u00f3n quase em linha reta, primeiro ao longo de San Jos\u00e9 e depois ao longo da Calle de Sarasate. Continuando em linha reta, chegamos ao fim da aldeia e, num \u00e2ngulo recato \u00e0 nossa esquerda, vemos uma subida em dire\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e0 ponte para atravessar a via-f\u00e9rrea. Subimos a ponte, mas n\u00e3o a atravessamos, em vez disso descemos a estrada \u00e0 direita que nos leva paralelamente aos carris do caminho-de-ferro.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">Continuamos ao longo da dos carris, que teremos sempre \u00e0 nossa esquerda. Um quil\u00f3metro mais \u00e0 frente, passamos por baixo da autoestrada AP-15. N\u00e3o h\u00e1 maneira de nos perdermos se nos mantivermos ao lado da via-f\u00e9rrea. A 5,5 km da ponte da autoestrada, a nossa estrada passa por cima da linha ferrovi\u00e1ria e aqui temos de decidir se seguimos a variante mais curta do Caminho Inaciano (menos 2 km, mas no asfalto) ou a mais c\u00e9nica (via agr\u00edcola perto do rio Ebro). A op\u00e7\u00e3o da estrada \u00e9 clara e riscos: continua em frente at\u00e9 chegar a Tudela. A op\u00e7\u00e3o que nos aproxima do Ebro, e que passa pelo local conhecido como Sotos de Ebro, leva-nos por trilhos de carro\u00e7as, e devemos ter cuidado para n\u00e3o nos perdermos.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">Sem d\u00favida que a estrada de terra leva-nos \u00e0s melhores vistas sobre o rio Ebro que encontraremos no nosso Caminho Inaciano. A pista que temos de seguir \u00e0 nossa esquerda \u00e9 facilmente vis\u00edvel depois de termos passado a ponte sobre a estrada: parece fazer uma curva acentuada para a nossa esquerda e enviar-nos na dire\u00e7\u00e3o oposta \u00e0quela que est\u00e1vamos a tomar com a estrada. Isto afasta-nos da estrada, e o caminho de terra leva-nos por uma curva larga para a direita e aproxima-nos do rio Ebro. Seguimos, \u00e0 nossa esquerda, o seu curso descendente. O caminho tem bifurca\u00e7\u00f5es e caminhos alternativos, que conduzem aos campos que fazem uso das \u00e1guas do Ebro. Continuamos procurando sempre a proximidade do rio e mantendo uma linha paralela com ele. Passamos por detr\u00e1s de algumas casas \u00e0 nossa direita. No cruzamento seguinte, continuamos sempre em frente. Chegamos a alguns currais abandonados que passamos \u00e0 nossa esquerda. Continuamos em frente. Na bifurca\u00e7\u00e3o seguinte viramos \u00e0 esquerda. Vemos a cidade de Tudela ao longe. Chegamos a alguns armaz\u00e9ns industriais e \u00e0 estrada que t\u00ednhamos deixado alguns quil\u00f3metros antes.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">Uma vez na estrada, seguimo-la para a nossa esquerda, acompanhada pelo caminho-de-ferro \u00e0 nossa direita e pelo rio Ebro \u00e0 nossa esquerda. \u00c0 nossa esquerda, vemos uma pequena barragem no rio. A 300 m deste ponto, podemos tomar um caminho de terra \u00e0 nossa esquerda que segue paralelamente \u00e0 estrada, evitando assim o asfalto e os carros. Este caminho vai diretamente at\u00e9 \u00e0 entrada de Tudela, seguindo a estrada.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">Entramos em Tudela e somos recebidos pela igreja rom\u00e2nica de Santa Magdalena. Ao longo da Calle del Portal aproximamo-nos da Catedral, da C\u00e2mara Municipal e do posto de turismo. Do mesmo modo, a moderna Igreja de S\u00e3o Francisco Javier (1944) lembra-nos que estamos agora em Navarra, um reino em que o santo jesu\u00edta deixou uma marca profunda que se exprime em muitas igrejas navarras. Tel.: 948 844 002.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\"><b>TUDELA<\/b>: Capital da regi\u00e3o de Ribera de Navarra, foi fundada em 802 pelos mu\u00e7ulmanos e \u00e9 uma das mais importantes cidades de origem mu\u00e7ulmana da Pen\u00ednsula. A Catedral (1168), no estilo rom\u00e2nico de transi\u00e7\u00e3o para o g\u00f3tico, merece uma visita. Foi constru\u00edda no local da mesquita principal e foi recentemente restaurada. Passando por detr\u00e1s dela encontrar\u00e1 a famosa Puerta del Juicio (Porta do Julgamento). Na Plaza de los Fueros (1687), a C\u00e2mara Municipal do s\u00e9culo XVI. Um passeio em dire\u00e7\u00e3o ao Ebro levar-nos-\u00e1 \u00e0 ponte, que tem as suas origens no s\u00e9culo IX. Muitos edif\u00edcios monumentais e hist\u00f3ricos est\u00e3o ao alcance do peregrino, tais como a igreja de Santa Maria Madalena (s\u00e9culo XII) perto do Ebro. Uma visita ao <a href=\"https:\/\/www.visitnavarra.es\/es\/planifica-viaje\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">posto de turismo<\/a> (Plaza de los Fueros Tel.: 948 848 058) ser\u00e1 muito \u00fatil. Tentemos imaginar quais poderiam ter sido os seus pensamentos nessa altura da sua vida.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">A vida p\u00fablica de Jesus come\u00e7ou com uma viagem, uma esp\u00e9cie de peregrina\u00e7\u00e3o. Deixou a sua casa em Nazar\u00e9 e foi em peregrina\u00e7\u00e3o at\u00e9 ao rio Jord\u00e3o, onde foi baptizado por Jo\u00e3o Baptista. O minist\u00e9rio de Jo\u00e3o tinha sido o de chamar os pecadores ao arrependimento. Jo\u00e3o era conhecido e respeitado: sem d\u00favida que Jesus conhecia a sua mensagem, como profeta de Deus enviado ao povo judeu. Jesus sabia o que estava a fazer. Vamos ponderar o que significa que a mensagem de Jesus, o homem sem pecado, opta por come\u00e7ar o seu minist\u00e9rio permanecendo na fila em solidariedade com os pecadores. O simbolismo desta ac\u00e7\u00e3o nos versos de abertura dos Evangelhos evoca imagens ricas de uma peregrina\u00e7\u00e3o interior rumo a um novo modo de vida. O minist\u00e9rio de Jo\u00e3o Baptista foi introduzido nas palavras de Isa\u00edas: &#8220;Preparai o caminho do Senhor, endireitai os seus caminhos&#8221;. Jo\u00e3o chama os pecadores ao arrependimento e \u00e0 &#8220;convers\u00e3o&#8221;, uma palavra com ra\u00edzes que sugerem uma &#8220;viragem&#8221;: Jo\u00e3o convida-nos a virar numa nova direc\u00e7\u00e3o e a seguir um novo caminho na vida. A certa altura, Jesus faz uma escolha consciente e deliberada para come\u00e7ar o seu minist\u00e9rio, para mudar a sua vida mundana em Nazar\u00e9: imagine o que poderia ter passado pela sua mente, o que viu \u00e0 sua volta para o fazer sentir que era a altura certa. Considere tamb\u00e9m como ele escolhe come\u00e7ar o seu minist\u00e9rio, n\u00e3o com um discurso ou um milagre, mas com uma peregrina\u00e7\u00e3o para ser baptizado por Jo\u00e3o. E consideremos tamb\u00e9m a experi\u00eancia de Jesus no Jord\u00e3o, a sua descoberta, a sua compreens\u00e3o da miss\u00e3o que o Pai o convida a cumprir em plenitude.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">Podemos pedir ao Pai que nos coloque com Jesus, o seu Filho, na linha de Jo\u00e3o Baptista. Imaginemos que somos um dos seus companheiros e que estamos mesmo atr\u00e1s dele, porque ele quer que o conhe\u00e7amos melhor, que o amemos mais e que sejamos mais fi\u00e9is no seu servi\u00e7o e pela humanidade. Tentemos contemplar a cena no evangelho. Vamos contemplar a cena. Tentamos estar presentes com ele e ver como ele chega a esta decis\u00e3o, partilha-a com a sua m\u00e3e, despede-se e deixa tudo o que o moldou como ser humano adulto e respons\u00e1vel. A intensidade do esfor\u00e7o corresponde \u00e0 consci\u00eancia interior de ter sido verdadeiramente salvo pela miseric\u00f3rdia divina.<\/em><\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">&#8220;E neste caminho aconteceu-lhe algo que ser\u00e1 bom escrever, para que se entenda como Nosso Senhor estava com esta alma, ainda cega, mas com um grande desejo de o servir em tudo o que sabia, e assim se determinou a fazer grandes penit\u00eancias, j\u00e1 n\u00e3o tendo tanta aten\u00e7\u00e3o para satisfazer pelos seus pecados, mas para agradar e louvar a Deus. E assim, quando\u00a0se lembrava de fazer alguma penit\u00eancia que os santos faziam, propunha-se a fazer o mesmo e ainda mais. E nestes pensamentos tinha toda a sua consola\u00e7\u00e3o, n\u00e3o olhando para nenhuma coisa interior, nem sabendo o que era humildade, nem caridade, nem paci\u00eancia, nem discri\u00e7\u00e3o para regular ou medir estas virtudes, mas toda a sua inten\u00e7\u00e3o era fazer destas grandes obras exteriores, porque assim os santos as tinham feito para a gl\u00f3ria de Deus, sem olhar para qualquer outra circunst\u00e2ncia mais particular. Tinha tal avers\u00e3o aos pecados passados e t\u00e3o vivo desejo de fazer grandes coisas por amor de Deus, que, sem julgar que os seus pecados estavam perdoados, mesmo nas penit\u00eancias que se comprometia a fazer, n\u00e3o se lembrava muito deles\u201d<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\"><em>Como diz J.M. Rambla, sj. no seu livro &#8220;O Peregrino&#8221;, o &#8220;MAIS&#8221; \u00e9 uma nota chave da sinfonia inaciana. O amor leva-nos sempre a um dinamismo de excesso e sem medida. O amor n\u00e3o se contenta com o equil\u00edbrio frio do que \u00e9 justo e correto. O amor procura sempre &#8220;mais&#8221;, dar &#8220;mais&#8221;, ser &#8220;mais&#8221;, crescer &#8220;mais&#8221;. O conhecido lema inaciano &#8220;Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam&#8221; exprime bem este dinamismo crescente pr\u00f3prio do amor comprometido. Apesar disso, In\u00e1cio reconhece aqui que, naquela altura da sua vida, tamb\u00e9m lhe faltava a discri\u00e7\u00e3o &#8220;para regular e medir as virtudes&#8221; que estava a experimentar com todo o seu desejo. Essa descri\u00e7\u00e3o que S. Paulo identifica como uma virtude que, em todas as circunst\u00e2ncias da vida, nos permite &#8220;encontrar a vontade de Deus, isto \u00e9, o que \u00e9 bom e agrad\u00e1vel a Deus e perfeito&#8221; (Rm 12,2). \u00c0 for\u00e7a da observa\u00e7\u00e3o pessoal e do conhecimento da presen\u00e7a de Deus, In\u00e1cio aprendeu a viver com discri\u00e7\u00e3o e transmitiu-o aos seus companheiros jesu\u00edtas. A &#8220;maior gl\u00f3ria de Deus&#8221; seria alcan\u00e7ada com uma boa dose de &#8220;amor de Deus&#8221; e uma a\u00e7\u00e3o determinada &#8220;ao servi\u00e7o de Deus&#8221;. In\u00e1cio assinaria o que Santo Ireneu disse muito antes: &#8220;A gl\u00f3ria de Deus \u00e9 que o homem viva!&#8221; e por isso In\u00e1cio empenharia a sua
