Accum. height uphill: 169 m. Accum. height downhill: 11 m.

Castellnou: Km 0. Anglesola: Km 10. Vilagrasa: Km 12.5. Verdú: Km 18.

To leave the town, from the school buildings we go along Calvari Street.  This leads left onto Marius Tort Street which we continue along. The trail leads to another, 90° on our left. After 200 metres we take another path on our right, also at right angles.

We reach a road on which we turn left and continue along for about 200 metres. Almost in front of a house starts a trail that we take to our right, veering away from the road. We go straight on until we reach another road, which we cross.

Continuing straight ahead, we reach the Urgell canal which we skirt by turning left and following our trail before crossing the canal by means of a small bridge. In 300 metres we take a trail that starts on our left and brings us closer to the canal. Going straight ahead, we reach Anglesola.

We enter via the Avenue of Joan Maragall (which soon becomes Ventalada) that bends left and leads us in front of the church. Continuing along the main street which runs parallel to the church, on our left, we cross several road junctions in the built-up area before reaching the road to Tárrega. At the roundabout, we take the first road on the right.

At the next roundabout we cross the bridge over the A2 and follow the road until we pass the Lleida – Barcelona railway line. After the railroad, shortly after, we come to Anglesola Street on our left.  Taking this road, we enter Vilagrassa. We travel along this street, which after passing through the main square, is now called Tarrega Street.

Next, we come to the NII and we go straight across to pick up a dirt track called Camino de Verdú. Continuing along this track, we reach another road that we cross almost in a straight line.  Straight ahead, we reach a small bridge over a canal which we cross over. We go straight on, coming to another road, the C14, which we cross straight over.

When we arrive in Verdú, we see the hermitage of Sant Miquel almost immediately on our left. Taking Sant Miquel Street on our left, we reach a rather broad crossroads, and going straight on, we travel along the road which is called Saint Pierre Claver Street. At the beginning of this road, on our, is the “Shrine- Birthplace of Saint Pierre Claver.”
