Step 5: Alda – Genevilla (17,9 km)

Alda: Km 0. San Vicente: Km 2.8. Oteo: Km 6.5. Santa Cruz, Km 12.9. Genevilla: Km 17.9.

We leave Alda by the road A-2128, in the direction of San Vicente. At 1.3 km and after some warehouses, we turn to our left on a dirt road that leaves the asphalt road. After 100 m, turn right to take the dirt road that leads directly to San Vicente.

We arrive in San Vicente and we turn right at the first street, to go to the village fountain and the church, very beautiful indeed. We leave the church behind, on the left, and we leave the village taking on the right an asphalt road that goes right and left, drawing a”Z” (to Sabando) and leading us to a path taking us to Oteo. We take this path, just after leaving the bend, to the left. A-2128 road runs parallel to us. Keep always straight on, without taking any other direction. We arrive in Oteo. We cross it and take the way that takes us down to A- 2128 road. Once there, we turn right and we do not leave it till we arrive in Santa Cruz.

We arrive at the entrance to the village of Santa Cruz de Campezo. We cross the A-132 and enter it by Arrabal Street, which leads to the main square. The Church is at the rear. Our path continues beyond the village: in Yoar Street we ask for the “Senda de la Torca” (Path of Torca), a dirt road that takes us to Genevilla.

Red and white signs show us the direction we have to take. 200 m from the village, we leave the wide dirt road and take a less defined one that starts at a right angle on our right. Straight on this dirt road. After 4.5 km the road turns right and we reach the paved road NA-743, which brings us into Genevilla.
